English, Spanish, and French language tracks with trilingual subtitles This was the first of three Beatles movies released simultaneously by MPI Home Video on the DVD format. Included along with the Academy Award nominated movie was some rare additional footage, newsreels, a theatrical trailer for the 1982 re-release, a revealing interview with director Richard Lester, and in its entirety, and Lester's experimental film, Running, Jumping & Standing Still which stars Peter Sellers. This 1997 DVD version of A Hard Day's Night came from a fully restored print made from the film's original negative, but not using the original mono versions of the songs. Picture quality is noticeably better than the laserdisc.
English, Spanish, and French language tracks with trilingual subtitles This was the second of three Beatles movies released simultaneously by MPI Home Video on the DVD format. Help! was the follow-up film to the Beatles' fantastically successful A Hard Day's Night, and originally debuted in theaters in 1965. The DVD versions come from a fully restored print made from the film's original color negative, but using the stereo soundtrack. Picture quality is improved over the laserdisc version. Includes the original theatrical trailer, two newsreels, silent footage of the film set and world premiere, still photos and posters set to original radio ads, and an open-end radio interview.
English language track with trilingual subtitles This was the third of three Beatles movies released simultaneously by MPI Home Video on the DVD format. The Magical Mystery Tour film was produced and directed by the Beatles themselves in 1967. This Digital Video Disc release suffers from digital artifacts, and is of lesser quality than the laserdisc, the colors seem to be somewhat faded. The opening animation sequence has also been edited. Also features a history of the project and newsreels that recapture the mood of the day. For more information on the MMT film, related memorabilia and records, see our Magical Mystery Tour collectors page.
